We call on the community to bring symbols of solidarity. Since 7 October 2023, the Israeli occupation has killed at least 408 aid workers in Gaza and more than 1,000 healthcare workers including nurses, doctors, surgeons, paramedics, pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare clinicians. On the 23 March 2025, the Israeli occupation killed 15 Palestinian paramedics and rescue workers one by one and within short range - a recent forensic analysis revealing the Israeli killings to be executions. Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza has caused a devastating and unprecedented health crisis, intending to ethnically cleanse Gaza of the Palestinians. The Israeli occupation has systematically dismantled the healthcare system through: orchestrated attacks on hospitals, patients, healthcare workers, and first responders; a sustained blockade preventing the supply of medicine and medical care and personnel to Gaza; and a coordinated health crisis by limiting access to basic necessities including clean water, food, shelter, and medical supplies and creating an environment of widespread contamination and disease. In March 2025, the Israeli occupation conducted extensive strikes on the people of Gaza as part of Israel’s most recent shattering of the ceasefire deal and ongoing genocidal campaign against the Palestinians. On March 19 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the new wave of air strikes that killed hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza overnight was “only the beginning”. More recently, Netanyahu has said Israel is “seizing territory” and intends to “divide up” the Gaza Strip. The west have not only observed more than 18 months of the Israeli occupation’s most recent genocidal invasion of Gaza, but have enabled it through the supply of weapons and unfaltering support of the illegal occupation of Palestinian land and genocide of Palestinians.
