This workshop centers on Silvia Federici’s Caliban and the Witch, examining primitive accumulation, the witch hunts, and the disciplining of women’s bodies as foundational to the rise of capitalism. We’ll trace Federici’s arguments about reproductive labor, enclosure, and the production of gendered social relations, and read the text as both historical analysis and political intervention. Not only was he a commander in the occupation forces responsible for the m*rder of countless Palestinian men, women and children, he has openly publicized and glorified the gen*cide in his videos. And now, he has been invited by Toronto's zionist community to tell jokes about it on stage. What could be more vile than k*lling innocents and then mocking them for money? Perhaps paying to watch the show? If we can't get this war criminal banned from performing, we can at least show up to shame the Toronto zionists who pay to come see him. 6:30pm Monday January 19 In front of 4588 Bathurst St. (JCC)

23610 Toronto, Canada The Redwood Theatre 1300 Gerrard Street East Toronto, ON https://maps.app.goo.gl/VubSsioUmyjo3G5a6 17 January 2026 #Repost @eastendacts Don’t forget to buy your tickets for a special screening this Saturday Jan 17 @theredwoodtheatre. We’re showing the film Sudan, Remember Us: a beautiful homage to the poetry, songs, art, and stories of resistance, told through the voices of a generation of young activists unbowed in their fight for justice and peace. BUY TICKETS via the QR code in the video or by the link in our bio. Shajane, Maha, Muzamil, Khatab, and the voice of poet Chaikhoon form a cinematic chorus—young, politically defiant, and artistically fearless. In their twenties, they stand at the front lines of a revolution, confronting a corrupted army and paramilitary militias responsible for brutal war crimes in Darfur, Kordofan, and Blue Nile. They could have lost hope before they even began. Instead, through chants, poems, and dreams, they built a movement that helped topple a regime. Blending intimate storytelling with sweeping political urgency, Sudan, Remember Us captures the uneven struggle between the fire of militias and the unbreakable voices of the people. It’s a tribute to the power of words—and a reminder that freedom is a fight born first in the imagination. After the film, we will be joined by guest speaker Rania El Mugammar @rania.writes a Sudanese artist, liberation educator, and East End neighbour. There will be a bake sale offering sweet and savoury treats. The venue offers bar service. Net proceeds from ticket sales & the bake sale will be going to the @sudansolidaritycollective, @torontocommunityjusticefund, our families in Gaza, and @eastendacts Please bring one non-perishable food item to contribute to @cf___to in the east end.
