Waco, Texas, USA Waco Central Library Meeting Room 1717 Austin Ave, Waco, Texas https://maps.app.goo.gl/yvXcavLUBu1Saz636 5 April #Repost @pslwaco Based on a true story, Farha (2021) tells the story of a 14-year-old Palestinian girl who survived the Nakba of 1948. Locked in a pantry for her safety, Farha bears witness to the brutal ethnic cleansing of her village by Zionist forces. UT Tyler recently prevented students from screening Farha on their campus, citing "free speech policy." This free and licensed screening is one of ten alternative screenings across Texas and Oklahoma in response to the attempted censorship of the film. Please join us to watch and stay following the film for discussion contexualizing the current struggle for Palestinian liberation amidst a continued escalation of the US-Israeli genocide in occupied Palestine. Saturday, April 5th 2:30pm Waco Central Library, Main Meeting Room Light refreshments will be available.
