Ten months ago, Raed applied for six Visas for his immediate family but the Australian immigration department still refuses to provide any information on the status of the applications. Their situation has recently taken another bad turn. A few days ago they lost both their tents and all their mattresses due to the extreme weather conditions experienced in Gaza. They currently have no shelter and no where to sleep, and have spent the past 24 hours exposed to the elements, including heavy rains, sea storms and flooding.
