Nakba-Tag zu gedenken. Auch in diesem Jahr blicken wir bestürzt und voller Trauer auf die anhaltende Gewalt in Palästina und den andauernden Genozid in Gaza, wo Kinder verhungern und ganze Familien ausgelöscht werden. Die aktuelle Lage gibt wenig Hoffnung und erschüttert uns zutiefst. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass wir gerade jetzt zusammenkommen, uns gegenseitig stärken, unsere Kultur leben und gemeinsam ein Zeichen der Erinnerung und Solidarität setzen. Gezeigt wird ein eindrücklicher Dokumentarfilm über ein ehemals palästinensisches Dorf und ein oft verdrängtes Kapitel Israels „Unabhängigkeitskriegs“ von 1948, bei dem Palästinensische Dörfer ausgelöscht und Menschen vertrieben und massakriert wurden. Durch Zeitzeug:innen-Interviews und Archivmaterial wird sichtbar, wie umkämpft historische Wahrheit ist – und wie tief Erinnerung, Schweigen und Verdrängung auch heute noch wirken. Musikalisch begleitet wird der Abend von Adam und Layla vom Jaffa Trio mit traditioneller palästinensischer Musik. Außerdem erwartet euch ein Buffet mit palästinensischen und arabischen Spezialitäten. Es wird Raum für Austausch, persönliche Geschichten und Eindrücke zum Film geben. Zahlreiche Ortschaften wurden zerstört, viele Menschen verloren ihre Heimat. Auf dem Boden dieser Ereignisse wurde der Staat Israel gegründet. Für die palästinensische Bevölkerung markiert die Nakba den Beginn einer bis heute andauernden Geschichte von Flucht, Entrechtung und Sehnsucht nach Rückkehr. An diesem Tag jährt sich ein tiefer Einschnitt in der Geschichte des palästinensischen Volkes – ein Tag, an dem Menschen aus ihrer Heimat vertrieben, Häuser enteignet und ganze Dörfer ausgelöscht wurden. Die Nakba steht für den Beginn einer nicht verheilten Wunde und für die Geschichte eines Volkes, das seit Jahrzehnten zwischen Verlust und Hoffnung lebt. Auch heute – mehr als siebzig Jahre später – sind die Folgen spürbar: In Gaza, im Westjordanland und in den Flüchtlingslagern lebt der Schmerz weiter. Unter schwierigen Bedingungen bewahren Menschen ihre Würde, trotz Gewalt und Unsicherheit. Kinder wachsen in Angst auf, Familien verlieren ihre Häuser, und das Leben unter Besatzung prägt Generationen. Doch die Hoffnung bleibt lebendig. Jeder Verlust erinnert an den Wert des Lebens und des friedlichen Zusammenlebens. Jede Träne ist Ausdruck einer tiefen Verbundenheit mit der Heimat. Die Nakba ist kein abgeschlossenes Kapitel, sondern ein Appell an die internationale Gemeinschaft, nicht wegzusehen und das Recht auf Rückkehr, Gerechtigkeit und Menschenwürde anzuerkennen. Zum Gedenken an die Nakba sagen wir: Wir vergessen nicht. Die Namen der verlorenen Dörfer bleiben in unserem Gedächtnis. Die Schlüssel der verlassenen Häuser tragen wir als Symbol der Hoffnung. Wir setzen uns ein – mit Worten, mit friedlichem Protest, mit dem festen Glauben daran, dass Gerechtigkeit möglich ist. Auch in dunklen Zeiten bleibt die Hoffnung auf einen neuen Morgen bestehen.
