Nakba ne amintește de strămutarea în masă și deposedarea desfășurată de către coloniștii israelieni în 1948, când jumătate din populația nativă a Palestinei a fost expulzată din propriile case și de pe pământurile sale și i-a fost refuzat dreptul la întoarcere. Cel mai recent act al acestei tragedii este genocidul în desfășurare din Gaza. Numărul de oameni uciși direct de soldații, tancurile, avioanele și dronele armatei israeliene este raportat la aproximativ 54.000, dintre care o treime dintre aceste victime sunt copii. Numărul de oameni morți datorită distrugerilor orașelor și infrastructurii, inclusiv acelora vitale, ca sistemul de sănătate, alimentare cu apă și energie electrică, precum și blocarea intrării în fâșie a oricărui ajutor umanitar din exterior, este estimat la aproximativ 500.000. Orașe întregi au fost rase de pe fața pământului iar oamenii sunt permanent forțați să se refugieze și bombardați și vânați de armata de ocupație israeliană. Astfel, condamnăm complicitatea statului român în susținerea regimului de apartheid israelian asupra poporului palestinian și în campania sa genocidară din Ghetoul Gaza. It is an aggressive alliance, beating the drums of war to maintain US imperialist domination of the Indo-Pacific region. It won’t be the banks or the mining companies or the billionaires that are going to bear the burden of this military build-up - it’ll be ordinary people. There needs to be concerted resistance built over the coming years to this relentless military escalation and the sharpening of imperialist tensions. This war drive needs to be stopped in its tracks.
