Taking place over Nakba weekend (15-17 May), the exhibition brings together research, collective maps, cyanotypes (sun prints) and timelines developed through workshops and conversations with the Arab community in Britain. Nakba Day marks a renewal of our commitment to resist ongoing genocide, siege, and displacement, and to continue the struggle for return and liberation, from the first Zionist settlements in the 1880s to the present. We refuse to see the wars across our region as separate. They are all part of a regional project targeting the sovereignty and freedom of our people, who despite this violence have refused to submit. Palestine is at the centre of this struggle against Zionism and imperialism. From Gaza to Britain, the fight for migrant and refugee justice is inseparable from the fight for Palestine.
