Le 26 mars, la Knesset a adopté une loi instaurant la peine de mort pour les actes qualifiés de « terroristes ». Les palestiniens seront donc jugés devant des tribunaux militaires, où la peine de mort devient la norme, à la majorité simple, sans recours possible. Dans ces mêmes tribunaux militaires, 96% des accusé es sont condamné es. Depuis 1967, plus de 800 000 palestinien ns ont été arrêté es. Aujourd’hui : 10 400 détenu-es, dont 440 enfants, 3 562 sans inculpation ni procès. 310 sont mort•es en détention depuis 1967, de torture, négligence médicale, ou encore par exécution. 665 corps sont encore retenus dans des fosses. La prison coloniale a toujours eu cette fonction : briser ce qui résiste. En Palestine, l’enfermement de masse a été un outil de conquête et de colonisation. Et pourtant, les prisons, en Palestine et partout ailleurs, ont aussi été des écoles de la résistance. Des lieux d’organisation, de formation, de transmission. La libération des prisonnier ères et la libération du peuple palestinien sont un seul et même combat. Au programme de la semaine : des activités pour parler de la carcéralité coloniale, de la répression en Europe, et de la résistance qui s’organise jusque derrière les barreaux, en Palestine et ailleurs. There will be 100 boats crewed by people from all over the world, including Australia. They are going to try to break through the Israeli blockade of Gaza to get much-needed food and medical supplies to the Palestinian people. The Paper Boats for Gaza campaign aims to raise awareness of the ongoing blockade and bombing of Gaza and of the flotilla's mission. When the Israeli Occupying Force intercepts the flotilla, we, along with many other groups around the country, will gather by the water to launch our paper boats, creating a spectacle which will draw the media's attention and prompt our politicians to protect our brave fellow Australians and help ensure the aid reaches Gaza.
