Från 17:30 är det mingel inne på Cnema för alla, där vi och folkrörelsen @nkpg.for.palestina bjuder på fika, där du också kan ta del av information kring palestiniers arbete för frihet och självbestämmande. På plats har du också chans att stödja initiativ som jobbar för att hjälpa oskyldiga offer i Gaza och Västbanken. Kl 18:00 börjar själva eventet, och utöver Jacob kommer vi även få en annan gäst. Följeslagarprogrammet är ett initiativ där ”följeslagare” från hela världen reser till Palestina och Israel för att genom sin skyddade närvaro bidra till att vidga handlingsutrymmet och ge hopp och stöd åt människor att verka för fred och försoning. Slutligen kommer även en paneldiskussion ske, där Jacob, Bosse och två representanter från Palestinarörelsen i Norrköping, Hala och Alicia delta. Där hoppas vi att våra gemensamma tankar och perspektiv skapar en god dialog till att fortsätta se hur vi kan arbeta för en hållbar lösning för alla mellan Jordanfloden och Medelhavet.

We have all seen the videos of peope arrested for protesting government complicity in Genocide. They were protesting Irish complicity in the slaughter of Palestinian children, as Ireland allows weapons of war to fly though Irish airspace to Israel. The Arms Embargo Bill which prohibits the transit and export of munitions of war from and to Israel is being brought back to the Seanad this Wednesday. The bill would require inspections of aircraft seeking exemptions to carry weapons through our airspace, which the minister can already do but ZERO inspections have happened since 2020. Last May the government voted to delay the bill for 6 months, promising to develop a mechanism to search aircraft. How many Palestinians have been slaughtered in the year since? Simon Harris said no weapons travelled through our airspace to be used in the Middle East despite the Ditch finding overwhelming evidence that weapons have been transported through Ireland to Israel in 2024. In 2023 a record 1353 exemptions were granted to transport weapons of war through Ireland. In April 2024 the UN called for an Arms Embargo with Israel. Not facilitating a genocide is the bare minimum we should be doing. We will not have the blood of Palestinian people on our hands. Join us to demand the enactment of the Arms Embargo Bill and to reject the attacks on peaceful protestors this Wednesday at 12-1.30 at the entrance to Leinster House, Kildare Street.
