University of California, California Hall https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kc1q5JEdvnPRSS6T9 21 November #Repost @ucbdivest For 13 relentless months, US and Israeli forces have unleashed devastation upon Gaza and Lebanon—a genocidal siege burning cities, families, and futures. Over 300,000 Palestinians have been slaughtered; millions more are starving, displaced, fighting to survive amidst the ruins of their home. Yet the University of California—including Berkeley—continues to funnel billions into the machinery perpetuating Palestinian genocide. As if the bloodshed weren’t enough, the UC system profits from over $32 billion in Israel-linked investments. Governor Newsom and the UC Regents are now hoping an emerging Trump regime will distract us from their role, their complicity, and their blood-soaked bottom lines. On November 21, we walk out for the people of Palestine—for the children who, one day, will fly kites under a sky free from the shadow of missiles. We call on UC Berkeley and the entire UC system to sever every financial and institutional tie with Israel’s racist, fascist project of colonialism. UC Berkeley cannot claim to oppose bigotry and oppression here while complicit in it across occupied Palestine.

In support of our people’s steadfastness in Gaza, and as part of our international fundraiser ‘The People Stand with Gaza’, we are announcing a two-day art fundraiser titled ‘The Birds Shall Return: The Spirit of Sumud & Return’ on November 21st and 22nd at Atelier Next Door. Our people in Palestine continue to remain steadfast in the midst of ongoing Zionist aggression. Our role is to support our people’s sumud; honour our people’s martyrdom; and uplift our righteous cause. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards our $1,000,000 goal to provide essential services including shelter, food, clean water, medical and psychological aid, and children’s programming for our people in Gaza. This fundraiser is in collaboration with the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Quebec (CPFQ) and is a call on us to assume our responsibility to tangibly support our people’s steadfastness on the land. Financial support is a political act that ensures our people’s needs are met so that they are able to remain on the land steadfast and resilient in the face of this genocide and displacement. ARTIST CALLOUT: We welcome all art submissions of a variety of mediums that fall within our theme, ‘The Birds Shall Return; The Spirit of Sumud & Return’. The link to submit art is in our bio and the deadline is November 17, 2024 at 5 PM. All art selected will be auctioned or sold, and all proceeds will go towards the fundraiser. We demand ARMS EMBARGO ON ISR*EL! DATE: Monday, 18 November 2024 TIME: 12 noon to 2:00 PM PLACE: 4573 S. Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ We mourn every life that is destroyed. Isr*el has killed 42,000 Pale stin ians in G@za* (including 15,000 children) and over 650 Pale stin ians in the West Bank. Over 3,200 Lebanese citizens have been killed since end of Sept. 2024. This is in addition to the tens of thousands injured and maimed by Isr*el. *The Lancet estimated the death toll at 186,000 in a July 2024 article. As Isr*el has destroyed G@za’s Ministry of Health, we may never know the number of those killed by Isr*el since October 2023, but the widely reported numbers, for many months, of between 30,000 and 42,000 are obviously a severe undercount. As starvation, dehydration, disease, exposure, total lack of sanitation, lack of housing, lack of medical care, lack of everything needed for life, along with constant bombardments, continue, with no end in sight, the numbers will continue to skyrocket. Isr*el’s bombs are killing its own hostages in G@za. WE DEMAND: ● The U.S. stops sending weapons to Isr*el ● Isr*el stops killing people in Lebanon, the West Bank, and G@za. ● Isr*el stops blocking humanitarian aid to G@za ● Endorse the Joint Resolution of Disapproval (JRD) to stop the sale of $20 billion in offensive U.S. weaponry to Isr*el STOP THE G3NOCID3. We will plan postering and outreach to build towards the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine. The Biden administration is continuing to aid and abet Israel’s genocide in Gaza, even after threatening to restrict aid if the genocide did not end “within 30 days.” Trump’s incoming administration will also be hostile to the Palestinian liberation struggle. We must come together, sustain the movement for Palestine, and build organization to put more pressure on the U.S. government for an arms embargo, no matter who is in power! This should be a mandatory watch for everyone and we thus want to invite you all to bring friends, families, teachers, housemates etc. Especially if people do not know that much about Palestine, this is a great and accessible way to learn more. But also if you already know a lot, it is a great watch. See you all on Wednesday
