Si approfondiranno le similitudini tra i Centri di Permanenza per il Rimpatrio (CPR) in Italia e la detenzione in Palestina, evidenziando l’uso di tali pratiche come strumenti di controllo sociale e politica in contesti di presunta democrazia. Un focus importante sarà l’esportazione del modello detentivo sionista in Europa, evidenziando come l’Italia adotti pratiche analoghe attraverso i CPR, sollevando dubbi sulla legittimità di queste misure in un contesto “democratico”. L’evento intende anche discutere l’aumento della normalizzazione di politiche che marginalizzano migranti, rifugiati e attivisti, rivelando l’ipocrisia di democrazie che ricorrono a misure autoritarie. La riflessione sulle implicazioni etiche e politiche di tali pratiche risulta urgente, in un periodo in cui la repressione delle lotte sociali è crescente. Solo attraverso un’analisi critica delle esperienze di detenzione nel mondo si possono capire meglio le dinamiche di potere globale e promuovere soluzioni giuste e rispettose dei diritti umani.
