After 742 days, our people can finally get some relief. Glory to our martyrs who carried the struggle with their strength, their resilience, and their unshakable commitment to liberation. Thousands of lives have been lost, with thousands more to be uncovered in the next few months as Gaza starts to rebuild. For our martyrs, we will unite, stand together, pray for their souls, mourn their deaths and honour their courage. We will never let their stories be forgotten. We know the struggle continues. We will not stop until there is a full arms embargo and sanctions against the Zionist entity. We will not stop until Palestine is free, from the river to the sea. Please join us for a commemoration of our martyrs with a few words from our community members, followed by Maghrib prayer. Friday, October 17th Celebration Square, Mississauga 4:00 PM

The Cree Word for Love: Sâkihitowin, is a collaboration with artist George Littlechold, bestseller Tracey Lindberg explores love in all its forms. This collaboration which travels, season by season, mirroring the four rounds in ceremony, through the themes of the love within a family, ties of kinship, desire for romantic love and connection, strength in the face of loss and violence, and importance of self-love, as well as, crucially, a deeper exploration of the meaning of “all my relations.” What it could possibly mean to have no Cree word for love?

While we are relieved that the bombs have stopped dropping, our hearts remain heavy as Palestinians return to destroyed homes, schools and playgrounds - places once filled with life, joy and memory. But, if there is one thing Palestinians have shown us, it is that no amount of US-supplied bombs or dehumanizing propaganda can overcome the love of their homeland or their steadfastness in refusing to be uprooted. The price they have paid is unimaginable, and so we will again take to the streets to remind Palestinians that we stand with them. Our work is just beginning and we remain as committed as ever to hold Israel, and all those complicit in genocide, accountable for their crimes. We will not rest until the systems of oppression that are the root causes of this violence and displacement are dismantled, and Palestine is free!

20476 Montreal, Canada QPIRG Concordia 2100 rue Guy, suite 205 https://maps.app.goo.gl/duJLh4gp4ZXPSurGA 29 October 2025 #Repost @qpirgmcgill On October 29th, in recognition of two years of Israel’s relentless genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, as well as National Disability Awareness Month in the so-called U.S. and Disability Employment Awarness Month in so-called Canada, In Pain and Insane invites you to a screening of the powerful, new, short documentary Severed. Severed follows Mohamad Saleh, a Palestinian teenager from Gaza who lost his leg at only 12 years old, and has survived five Israeli military assaults. In those attacks, he lost his home, close family members, and best friends. Mohamad’s story is both deeply personal and emblematic of the thousands of Palestinians disabled by Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. This is an opportunity to center Palestinian voices, deepen understanding of the genocide, and build solidarity between Palestinians and the larger disability justice community. Together, we can take action on disability justice and Palestine. ACCESSIBILITY INFO: There is an elevator in the building and there are two entrances. The entrance at 2100 Guy has one flight of stairs. For step-free access, use the entrance at 1625 de Maisonneuve Ouest. Buzz #0205 to be let through the automatic doors, then take the elevator up to the second floor. The door to the space can be opened by an automated button, and swings out. There is a paid parking lot beside our building, entrance on Guy. A list of other spaces downtown (Ville-Marie borough) reserved for people who have the blue-and-white parking permit can be found here: http://www.statdemtl.qc.ca/index.php?page_id=322&lang=en#sondage. The space contains one gender-neutral, single occupancy, wheelchair accessible washroom. The door is not automated, it swings in and is pretty light. This is a mask mandatory space, and there will be two large air purifiers and masks available. There will be ASL interpretation between 6:30pm-8pm for the pre-screening introductions and post-screening discussions. This is a mask mandatory event, although for accessibility reasons, the ASL interpreter will not be wearing a mask and you may remove your mask when talking with a d/Deaf participant.
