We, unions from the healthcare sector, organizations of healthcare workers or active in the health sector, and healthcare personnel, are outraged by what has been happening for months in the Gaza Strip. When Israel deliberately attacks ambulances or humanitarian convoys, when Israel systematically destroys healthcare infrastructure, killing patients and medical staff, when Israel blocks all humanitarian aid and attempts to use it as a tool for forced displacement… we are horrified by the depths of barbarity a state can reach. The deprivation of healthcare and humanitarian aid has become a weapon of war aimed at annihilating the Palestinian people. As representatives of healthcare workers or organizations active in the sector, we cannot but be outraged by what our colleagues and the Palestinian population are enduring. But above all, we are revolted by the inaction of national and European authorities. We all have blood on our hands! The facts: The latest WHO report (May 5, 2025) states that at least 686 attacks have affected healthcare services (infrastructure, personnel, etc.), killing 910 people and injuring 1,380. A total of 122 healthcare facilities have been affected, including 33 hospitals, and 180 ambulances have been destroyed. Half of healthcare services are now only partially operational. As recently as March 23, 15 humanitarian workers were killed by the Israeli army in southern Gaza as they traveled in clearly marked ambulances. Since March 2, the blockade of humanitarian aid has prevented the distribution of 171,000 tons of food ready to enter Gaza—enough to feed the population for 4 months. Malnutrition is now widespread, and the few remaining food supplies are unaffordable. Israel is proposing to manage the distribution itself and use it as a means to forcibly displace the population. The condemnation: Using attacks on hospitals and health infrastructure, massacring healthcare workers on duty, and blocking humanitarian aid as a weapon to promote deportation ......
