In diesem Jahr steht die Veranstaltung im Zeichen einer besorgniserregenden rechtlichen Zäsur. Historischer Rückblick: Das System der Inhaftierung Seit Jahrzehnten ist die Inhaftierung ein zentrales Instrument der Besatzung. Wir fassen die historische Lage zusammen, von der Etablierung des Gedenktages 1974 bis hin zur verstetigten Praxis der Administrativhaft, bei der Palästinenser ohne Anklage oder Prozess über Jahre festgehalten werden können. Dieses System der Militärjustiz bildet die Basis für eine dauerhafte Entrechtung. Die aktuelle Lage: Folterberichte und gesetzliche Eskalation Die Situation hinter Gittern hat sich laut Berichten von Amnesty International und anderen Menschenrechtsorganisationen massiv verschlechtert. Wir referieren über dokumentierte Fälle von Misshandlung und die systematische Aushöhlung von Gefangenenrechten seit Oktober 2023. Ein zentraler Schwerpunkt des Abends wird die Einführung der Todesstrafe sein: Am 30. März 2026 verabschiedete die israelische Knesset ein Gesetz, das die Hinrichtung durch Erhängen für "terroristische Straftaten" vorsieht. Wir analysieren, warum Kritiker und die EU dieses Gesetz als diskriminierend einstufen, da es de facto ausschließlich Palästinenser betrifft. Solidaritätsarbeit in Europa & Deutschland Angesichts dieser Entwicklungen stellt sich die Frage nach der Antwort der internationalen Gemeinschaft.
