Legal assertions from a variety of actors and legal determinations of international courts have become part of the broader discourse on the current crisis. This lecture will present and discuss the legal framework within which such assertions and determinations are made. This framework includes institutional aspects of the UN, fundamental rules such as self-determination, and range of fields of international law, such as human rights and humanitarian law. This event is seen as complementary to the ongoing live screenings of judicial proceedings at the Faculty of Law.
